Regular inspection of the mechanical parts of the water jet loom is necessary, otherwise it will directly affect weaving efficiency and equipment lifespan. The following are key inspection points:
Check the wear of transmission components
Gears, belts, and chains may experience wear or looseness during long-term high-speed operation. Use a flashlight to check whether the gear meshing is uniform and whether the belt has cracks or looseness during weekly shutdown. If abnormal noise or jumping is found, immediately adjust the tension or replace the parts.
Confirm the status of the beating mechanism
The warp steel reed and connecting rod are subjected to high stress and are prone to deformation or loose screws. Before taking over each shift, manually turn the reed seat to check for any shaking or abnormal noise. An increase in the gap between the reed blades or an uneven reed surface can lead to a sparse and uneven fabric surface, which must be corrected in a timely manner.
Lubricate key bearings and guide rails
The main shaft bearing and guide rail slider will overheat and get stuck due to lack of oil. Add high-temperature resistant grease with an oil gun every three days. If the old oil turns black or contains metal shavings, it indicates that the bearing is worn and needs to be disassembled for inspection. After oil injection, manually rotate the wheel two times to confirm smooth and unobstructed rotation.
Tighten all foundation bolts
Machine vibration will gradually loosen the foundation screws. Tighten one by one with a wrench every month, especially checking the connection between the motor base and the frame. If the screw hole has been ground into elliptical pits, it is necessary to enlarge the hole and install anti loosening gaskets.
Test emergency braking function
Failure of safety devices may lead to serious accidents. Test the emergency stop button and brake pad response weekly, and the loom should come to a complete stop within two revolutions after pressing. The longer braking distance or sliding indicates that the friction plate is worn and must be replaced.
